Services:

Peptide Synthesis:

Currently we have three automated peptide synthesizers, including two multiple peptide synthesizers that operate at either 25 µmol, 50 µmol, 0.1 mmol or 0.25 mmol scales. Turnaround time is usually around 2 weeks for crude peptides or 2-3 weeks for purified peptides. Crude peptides are delivered as dry powders and percentage purity is dependent on length and amino acid sequence. We guarantee >70% purity for crude peptides and >95% purity for RP-HPLC purified products. All peptides are returned with a Mass Spec analysis and an analytical RP-HPLC chromatogram.

We offer a wide variety of modifications e.g. phosphorylated Ser, Thr, Tyr; biotinylation and labeling with fluorescent probes. Please call with specific needs.

Protein Sequencing:

The ABI 494 Procise Edman sequencer can handle samples at low picomole levels, either attached to PVDF membrane or in solution. If in solution please contact lab for acceptable buffers and solvents. Results are usually returned within a few days.

Charges

Residues 1-5 $100; additional residues $20 per cycle.

Mass Spectrometry:

Fast mass determination and purity check is provided using MALDI-TOF-MS or triple quadrupole ESI-MS instruments. Post-translational modification analysis can also be performed. Protein identification services are offered by Dr. Yingming Zhao's facility.

Charges

Mass determination: $52
Sample desalting: $32
de novo MS/MS analysis: $70/hr
