Project title: Analgesic Effects of Low-dose Nalmefene in Patients receiving Intravenous Morphine via Patient-controlled Analgesia

Brief Description of Project:

Patients will be randomly allocated to three treatment groups, Gp A receives IV placebo, Gp B receives Nalmefene IV at the commencement of surgery, Gp C receives nalmefene at the end of surgery.

Following surgery patients will receive patient contolled IV morphine. This study will monitor pain levels and side effects postoperatively for the first 24 hours.
