Brief Description of Project:

Use of tissue cultures cells to study the mechanism by which cholesterol causes the rapid degradation of HMG CoA reductase, a rate-limiting enzyme of cholesterol synthesis.

I have supervised more than 20 medical students and the past 30 years, including Dr. Michael McPhaul.
