Project Type (patient-based research, animal-based research, or basic research; this characterization is only to permit a general classification for grouping similar types of projects)

Basic and mouse-based research. Testing novel cancer targeting adenovirus.

Brief Description of Project:

We will be putting the finishing touches and last few experiments (both in Vitro and in Vivo) together to finish the work on a novel conditionally replication competent adenovirus which
targets metastatic prostate cancer.

Previous Research Activities or Publications with Medical Students:
I trained medical students Michael Kacka and Marissa Holmes in my lab last year. Currently we have 3 manuscripts of this research which are in various stages of being written up for publication.

I feel it is very important for Michael Kacka to finish his part of the project this summer in order to participate in the manuscript writing.
