Brief Description of Project:
Trigeminal Neuralgia is a severe form of face pain that can be treated be surgical decompression of the fifth cranial nerve. Previous studies from the 1980's suggest 85% of patients remain pain free at ten years. Advancement in microsurgical technique makes it likely these results have improved. A retrospective study of patients undergoing decompression will be reviewed. Thirteen years of data is available with around 150 cases.
