Brief Description of Project: There are several potential projects that can be completed over the summer which would be tailored to the student's interest. The general theme of my research focuses on cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure (HF). My goal for the participating medical student is for him/her to develop basic skills in epidemiology and statistical analysis of databases. Previous students have enjoyed participating in the PMH HF clinic (one-half day a week), an experience which made their research more meaningful, and this opportunity remains available.
Previous Research Activities or Publications with Medical Students:
Louise King - summer 2002, Doris Duke fellow 2003-4
Fatema Uddin - summer 2003.
