Brief Description of Project:

Development of porous coatings and other reservoirs for poly (L lactic acid) vascular stents.

Evaluation of reservoir capacity and drug release kinetics.

Previous Research Activities or Publications with Medical Students:

Several students, over several years, worked on stent-related research, including:
Ale Garcia, Min Yoo, Nicklett….(?), Kal Kelley.

David Lee worked on the spherical semiconductor accelerometer/clinometer sensor.

Toral Patel worked on the VR/haptics laparoscopic surgery simulator (lap inguinal hernia repair) jointly with Dr. Venkat Devarajan at UT Arlington
