Project Type patient-based research
Brief Description of Project:

We have several IRB-approved research projects, funded from both pharmaceutical companies and federal funding sources, going on in the areas of bipolar depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, and bipolar with co-morbid anxiety. Students should expect to learn various research scales for assessing patients, including diagnostic interviews, sit in with patients during patient interviews, and discuss patients with the PI or research coordinator at the conclusion of the interview. They will also be exposed to data management and coordination, as well as some grants management (how the research is set up, maintained, and reported on to the IRB and federal funding agencies).
