response.
Human subjects IRB approved project number (where applicable): IRB file #0498-14200
Animal subjects IRB approved project number (where applicable): NA
Project Type (patient-based research, animal-based research, or basic research; this characterization is only to permit a general classification for grouping similar types of projects): Project will be patient-based research.
Brief Description of Project:
Students will be involved in manuscript development, including data organization,
analyses, and presentation of findings. Students will be given the opportunity
to explore a large database to determine areas of interest for the development
of the manuscript. The database is derived from a large single-site trial of
children and adolescents with MDD who were enrolled in a 12-week open-label
trial of fluoxetine, and includes diagnostic and severity scales, as well as
many mediator/moderator variables. Students will receive an overview of the
process of conducting pediatric research trials through weekly supervision and
team meetings.
