Project title 1: Nanogel aggregate gel as a wound dressing

Brief Description of Project:

The use of a patented material by Uluru Inc will be tested for the ability to provide a barrier in trauma wounds and chemical wounds in an animal model. This student will assist in animal surgery, tissue collection, biomechanical testing and analysis of histological slides from these specimens.

Brief Description of Project:

The use of a patented barbed suture by Quill Medical Inc. will be tested for the ability to close wounds in the absence of a knot. This would provide a revolutionary advance in wound care management.

The student will assist in wound closure procedures during animal surgery, tissue collection, biomechanical testing and analysis of histological slides from these specimens.
