Brief description of project: Number of potential projects are available as part of our Division's well established Summer Internship Program for medical students and pre-medical students. Most research projects involve sickle cell disease or other blood disorders. For additional information, please check UT Southwestern's and Children's web sites for description of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Program and contact Laura Clark (Laura.Clark@UTSouthwestern.edu) by requesting a descriptive brochure of the summer internship program.

Previous research activities or publications: Over twenty summer interns, most of the medical students, have been in the program during the past fifteen years. A number of projects have resulted in presentations and scientific meetings and publications.
