Brief Description of Project:
Recently it has been shown that microRNAs circulating in the blood. We are developing assays to quantify the amount of microRNAs that circulate, determine the variation in intra-individual and inter-individual levels of microRNAs. After we have developed a reliable, reproducible assay, we will determine if fasting and refeeding alters the amount of circulating microRNAs and how these changes relate to metabolic health.
