Brief Description of Project:

Anandita will continue to address the role of ApoE receptors in the brain. She will focus on synaptic physiology, specifically on mechanisms by which ApoE receptors modulate AMPA and NMDA receptor functions.

Previous Research Activities or Publications with Medical Students:

I have advised and published with numerous MDs and MD/PhD students over the last 20 years.

I particularly enjoy working with (prospective) MDs, since we share the same conceptual basis for the use of biomedical research in improving health care and disease prevention.
