Welcome to the former web site of the Program in Ethics in Science and Medicine. Our program has been dedicated to advancing research, education, and clinical service relevant to ethical issues in science and medicine. Specific goals of the program were to:

  • Gather, distribute, and publicize bioethics-related research and educational activities at UT Southwestern.
  • Act as catalyst to bring together individuals interested in bioethics-related activities and develop new initiatives.
  • Coordinate teaching activities such as ethics grand rounds and responsible conduct of research.
  • Develop and promote bioethics educational activities in conjunction with other institutions in the North Texas region.

This web site was developed to provide information on ethics-related issues at UT Southwestern and to generate interest in and educational discourse about such issues as they arise more generally in the practice of science and medicine. The site serves only as a resource and clearinghouse for ethics-related topics. No endorsements of any kind are intended.

For further information about responsible conduct of science lectures and discussions visit HERE. For other activities, consult the new Ethics in Science and Medicine Program OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
